Training of Ikhvelo (Learning Centres) in charges
May 2006
Conducted specifically for Doosra Dashak Project of Foundation for Education and Development, this workshop will train the team who will run Ikhvelos learning centres in villages.

Summer Workshop for Digantar School Teachers
June 2006
Each year, Digantar teachers participate in a one month skills development workshop. During this workshop, we review our current pedagogy and introduce any changes for the upcoming year.

2nd Annual Foundations of Education Workshop

July - December 2006
The Foundations of Education workshop is our most comprehensive and involved training programme. Conducted in 4 classroom modules, interspersed with assignments, this 6 month programme exposes participants to a wide variety of education theory. It aims to enable them to challenge them to evaluate current practices in education and devise alternatives. We are currently accepting applications from education workers of all backgrounds.

About Our Workshops
All our workshops are held in the residential compound on our 2 acre campus located just outside of Jaipur. Our hostel features accommodation for over 40 people. Our mess provides participants with simple vegetarian meals. We have a fairly good library where participants often have given after hours access. Resource persons include Digantar staff or invited education professionals. The last programme had Prof Vijay Verma, Prof Ramakant Agnihotri, Prof Amitabh Mukherjee and Mr HK Dewan as external resource persons. The programme includes a mix of theory work and practical field visits to Digantar and government schools.
